Permanent Makeup – Brows, Eyeliner & Lip Blush
Personalised Beauty · Refined Definition · Effortless Everyday Elegance
At Glowvia Beauty Lab, we believe that permanent makeup should enhance your natural features while respecting your individual facial proportions, skin characteristics and personal style.
Permanent Makeup, also known as Cosmetic Tattooing or Micropigmentation, is a specialised technique that introduces cosmetic pigment into the skin to create lasting colour and definition.
From softly shaded brows and natural-looking hair strokes to delicate eyeliner and personalised lip colour, each design begins with an individual consultation and realistic expectations.
What Is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows, eyelash lines and lips.
Cosmetic pigments are deposited into the skin using specialised tattooing equipment and techniques. As the treated area heals, the initial appearance changes and the settled colour becomes more apparent.
Although commonly described as semi-permanent, cosmetic tattoo pigment can remain in the skin for many years. Colour may soften or change over time, and complete fading cannot be guaranteed.
Eyebrow Permanent Makeup
Eyebrows influence facial expression and overall balance. Our approach to eyebrow cosmetic tattooing considers natural hair growth, brow shape, facial proportions and the desired level of definition.
Powder Brows & Ombre Brows
Powder Brows use shading techniques to create a soft, makeup-inspired eyebrow appearance. The colour can be designed to look subtle and diffused or more defined, depending on individual preferences.
Ombre-style shading generally involves a graduated appearance, with softer colour in selected areas and greater definition towards other parts of the brow.

Hair-Stroke Brows
Hair-Stroke Brows use fine, hair-like pigment marks to imitate the visual pattern of natural eyebrow hairs.
The technique aims to create the appearance of individual strands rather than an evenly shaded brow. The clarity of healed strokes depends on skin type, technique and pigment retention.
Combination Brows
Combination Brows bring together hair-stroke detailing and shading. They may be considered when a client prefers some individual hair definition alongside a fuller-looking brow.
Not every method is suitable for every skin type. Oily skin, existing cosmetic tattoo pigment, scarring and individual healing patterns can affect the choice of technique.

Permanent Eyeliner & Lash Line Enhancement
Permanent Eyeliner uses cosmetic tattoo pigment to create definition around the lash line. Designs may range from subtle lash line enhancement to a more noticeable eyeliner appearance.
A softer lash line design may give the impression of fuller-looking lashes without creating a heavy makeup effect. A more defined eyeliner style can be considered according to eye shape, preferences and treatment suitability.
Because the eyelid is a delicate area close to the eye, eyeliner cosmetic tattooing requires particularly careful screening, suitable techniques, infection control and eye-safety precautions.

Lip Blush & Permanent Lip Colour
Lip Blush is a cosmetic tattoo technique designed to enhance the appearance of natural lip colour and definition through carefully selected pigment shades.
Depending on individual lip colour and design preferences, the treatment may create a soft tint, a more even-looking colour distribution or additional definition around the natural lip border.
Some clients prefer a sheer, natural appearance, while others seek a stronger makeup-inspired colour. The final healed result differs from the colour seen immediately after the procedure.
Lip blush does not physically enlarge the lips in the same way as injectable fillers. It is a pigment-based treatment and does not guarantee correction of all natural colour irregularities.
Personalised Design & Colour Selection
A successful cosmetic tattoo design begins with understanding the client's natural features and expectations.
For eyebrows, important considerations include facial proportions, natural hair pattern, brow symmetry and the appearance of existing pigment.
For eyeliner, the treatment plan considers eye shape, eyelid characteristics, natural lash line and individual preferences.
For lips, colour selection considers natural lip tone, skin characteristics and the desired healed appearance.
Perfect facial symmetry, identical colour retention and a specific final result cannot be guaranteed.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Step 1 – Consultation & Suitability Assessment
We discuss the desired appearance, relevant medical history, allergies, existing cosmetic tattoos, medications, skin condition and potential contraindications.
Step 2 – Design & Colour Planning
The proposed shape, placement and pigment colour are considered according to natural features and realistic expectations.
Step 3 – Skin Preparation
The treatment area is prepared using appropriate hygiene and infection-control procedures. Any comfort measures must comply with relevant legal and professional requirements.
Step 4 – Cosmetic Pigment Application
Pigment is introduced using the selected cosmetic tattoo technique, with attention to appropriate depth, technique, individual tolerance and treatment-area safety.
Step 5 – Aftercare & Healing Guidance
Following the procedure, aftercare instructions are provided to support appropriate recovery and help minimise avoidable irritation or infection.
The Healing Process & Colour Changes
Cosmetic tattooing involves controlled penetration of the skin. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, dryness, flaking or scabbing may occur during recovery.
Pigment may initially appear stronger, darker or brighter than the eventual healed result. As the surface recovers, colour can soften and appear uneven before stabilising.
Surface healing may take days to weeks, while colour settling and deeper skin recovery can take longer. The timeline varies by treatment area, technique, skin condition and individual healing response.
Any additional session should be considered only after sufficient healing and reassessment. Touch-ups are not automatically necessary or suitable for everyone.
How Long Does Permanent Makeup Last?
Pigment retention varies considerably. Factors include skin type, pigment characteristics, treatment technique, sun exposure, skincare habits, individual metabolism and previous cosmetic procedures.
Some cosmetic tattoos remain visible for years, even after substantial fading. The colour may also change over time rather than disappearing evenly.
For this reason, cosmetic tattooing should be considered a long-term decision. Future colour correction or removal can be difficult, costly and not always completely successful.
Permanent Makeup Aftercare
Follow the aftercare instructions provided for your specific treatment area and the products used.
Gentle Hygiene
Keep the area appropriately clean and avoid unnecessary touching with unwashed hands.
Do Not Pick or Peel
Avoid picking flakes or scabs, which can increase the risk of infection, scarring and uneven pigment retention.
Avoid Unnecessary Irritation
Follow individual advice about cosmetics, exfoliating skincare, swimming, excessive heat, sweating and sun exposure during recovery.
Use Recommended Aftercare Products
Apply only products considered suitable for the treated area and healing stage.
Monitor Healing
Seek prompt medical advice for worsening pain, spreading redness, pus, fever, significant swelling or other signs of infection. Eye pain or vision changes require urgent assessment.
Safety & Important Considerations
Permanent makeup is an invasive skin-penetration procedure and carries risks, including infection, allergic or inflammatory reactions, scarring, unwanted colour changes, pigment migration and dissatisfaction with shape or symmetry.
Eyeliner tattooing also involves particular risks associated with the delicate eyelid and nearby eye structures.
Lip tattooing can trigger recurrence of cold sores in susceptible individuals. Clients with a history of herpes labialis should discuss preventive medical advice with an appropriate healthcare professional before treatment.
Suitability may be affected by pregnancy, active infection, impaired healing, allergies, certain medical conditions, medications and recent cosmetic procedures.
Appropriate informed consent, sterile single-use skin-penetrating components, safe pigment handling and compliance with applicable infection-control requirements are essential.
A professional consultation is important, but it cannot eliminate every risk or guarantee pigment retention, perfect symmetry or the precise appearance of a reference photograph.
Real Client Results & Design Inspiration
Explore selected examples of eyebrow, eyeliner and lip cosmetic tattooing to understand different design approaches and healed appearances.
Results vary between individuals. Images taken immediately after treatment may show redness, swelling or stronger pigment colour than the final healed result.
Lighting, photography angle, healing stage and individual features can also affect the appearance of comparison images.
