ADSS Baby Light BBL – Skin Rejuvenation

Advanced Light-Based Care for Pigmentation, Redness & Skin Radiance

Discover personalised skin rejuvenation at Glowvia Beauty Lab using ADSS Baby Light BBL technology. This non-ablative light-based treatment may improve the appearance of selected pigmentation, visible redness, dullness and uneven skin tone.

What Is ADSS Baby Light BBL?

ADSS Baby Light BBL is a professional broadband pulsed-light system designed for selected skin and hair concerns. The technology delivers filtered pulses of light rather than the single wavelength used by many laser systems.

The device offers selected light-based treatment options for pigmentation, visible redness, acne-related concerns, skin rejuvenation and unwanted hair. A cooling system helps support comfort during treatment.

How Does BBL Work?

Controlled pulses of light are delivered to the skin. Selected wavelengths are absorbed by targets such as melanin in pigmented areas and haemoglobin in superficial blood vessels.

The absorbed energy produces a controlled photothermal response. Over time, suitable pigmentation and visible redness may become less noticeable. Treatment results depend on skin type, the concern being treated and individual response.

What Can BBL Skin Rejuvenation Help With?

Pigmentation & Sun Spots — May improve the appearance of selected sun-induced pigmentation, freckles and benign brown spots.

Redness & Visible Capillaries — May reduce the appearance of selected superficial redness and small visible blood vessels.

Dull & Uneven Skin Tone — May support a brighter and more even-looking complexion.

Blemish-Prone Skin — Selected light-based protocols may complement suitable professional acne care.

Fine Lines & Skin Rejuvenation — May improve some visible signs of photoageing and mild uneven-looking texture.

IPL Hair Reduction

ADSS Baby Light BBL also offers a light-based hair-reduction function. Light energy is absorbed by pigment within suitable hair follicles, helping reduce unwanted hair growth over a series of treatments.

Results depend on hair colour, skin tone, treatment area and the natural hair-growth cycle. Maintenance sessions may be required. Please enquire about our dedicated IPL Hair Reduction services for more information.

What Happens During Treatment?

1. Consultation & Assessment — We review your skin concerns, medications, recent sun exposure, previous treatment history and suitability.

2. Skin Preparation — The skin is cleansed and appropriate protective eyewear and cooling measures are used.

3. BBL Light Treatment — Filtered pulses of light are delivered to selected areas. You may experience a brief warm or snapping sensation.

4. Finishing Care — Suitable skincare and individual aftercare instructions are provided. LED Repair Light Therapy and a soothing mask may be included where appropriate.

Recovery & Aftercare

After BBL / IPL, temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity or mild swelling may occur. Some treated brown spots may become darker before gradually fading or flaking. Proper aftercare supports skin comfort and helps minimise avoidable irritation.

Immediately After Treatment

Your practitioner may recommend gentle cooling and suitable fragrance-free moisturising skincare. Avoid applying ice directly to the skin. Post-treatment products should be selected according to your skin's condition and the treatment performed.

The First 24–48 Hours

Keep skincare gentle and simple. Avoid hot showers, saunas, strenuous exercise and activities that significantly increase skin temperature while your skin is sensitive.

Avoid makeup until the treated skin is intact and your practitioner advises that it is appropriate. Follow individual instructions for cleansing and moisturising.

Days 3–7: Skin Recovery

Some treated pigment may temporarily darken or form tiny superficial crusts. Allow these areas to fade or shed naturally. Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate the treated skin.

Continue suitable moisturising and barrier-supporting care. Recovery times vary and may be longer following more intensive treatment.

Sun Protection & Active Skincare

UV protection is particularly important following light-based skin treatment. Use shade, protective clothing and suitable broad-spectrum sunscreen when the skin is ready, as advised by your practitioner.

Avoid tanning and unnecessary direct sun exposure. Retinoids, exfoliating acids, strong vitamin C formulations and other potentially irritating skincare should only be reintroduced once the skin has recovered and your practitioner confirms suitability.

When to Contact Your Practitioner

Contact your treating practitioner promptly if you experience blistering, persistent or increasing pain, skin breakdown, worsening redness or unexpected pigmentation changes. Seek urgent medical care for severe or rapidly worsening reactions.

Is BBL Suitable for Everyone?

Suitability depends on your skin type, pigmentation history, recent tanning, medications, active skin conditions and other factors. Melasma requires particular caution because light and heat may worsen pigmentation in some individuals.

Changing, suspicious or unexplained pigmented lesions should be assessed by an appropriately qualified medical practitioner before cosmetic light treatment.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Some people may notice changes after an initial session, while others may require a series of treatments. The number and spacing of sessions depend on the concern, skin type and individual response. Results cannot be guaranteed.
